This is the start of the painting where everything has been drawn out on the canvas using pencil, and I'm starting to add some very thin paint washes... more thinned out paint... same.. so finally the whole painting has been coated in one thin wash of paint and is ready for more coats... The finished painting with a minimum of 3 layers of paint in some areas and as much as 4-5 layers in others. Each layer has to dry completely before being covered by another coat which makes the process a bit time consuming, but since the paint is thinned out so much it doesn't take too terribly long. This was a great project to work on and I'm extremely happy with the results...hopefully it will bring some kind of joy to the children stuck in a hospital.
